Elaine is a vibrant and multifaceted performer whose artistic journey began in Edmonton, Alberta. From a young age, she was captivated by the world of art, immersing herself in art lessons, piano, & acting. She also danced wildly and sang around the house almost driving her mother to distraction. Her natural talent for entertaining was evident as she effortlessly & sometimes annoyingly entertained anyone who would listen, acting out stories and belting out tunes with joy. Dreaming and believing in her potential, she pursued formal training at Grant MacEwan University, where she honed her skills in dance, acting, and music, learning to blend her passions into a cohesive artistic expression. With a love for performance, she has captivated audiences both on the beautiful Vancouver Island, where she currently resides in North Saanich, and in local clubs on the vibrant north coast of the Dominican Republic, a place she has passionately traveled back and forth for over 30 years, recording parts of her second all original album in Puerto Plata. Starting her career as an actress and dancer, she ventured into Europe and the Middle East in the late 1970s, touring as a dancer-singer and sharing her gift with audiences in war torn areas representing Canada and the UN. During the 80s and 90s she continued working as an actress in both theatre and film. Her energy is infectious, and she currently cherishes the heartfelt connections she makes with audiences again, believing that the stories within her songs resonate deeply with their own memories. Through her art, she continues to embrace the joy of storytelling and the beauty of human connection, leaving a lasting impression wherever she performs.
