Steinwall’s roots in Toronto’s music scene run deep; her grandparents and parents were all active members of the local live music scene. Around 2017 Emily started to focus her energy more on songwriting and band leading, writing songs for her initial self-released album, titled “Welcome to the Garden”. Once described as “A Disney Princess on Acid” , this initial offering from Steinwall blends psychedelic rock, theatrical vocals and extended saxophone solos.
