Join us on the first Thursday of every month for an unforgettable evening celebrating raw talent and original music! We’re shining the spotlight on three handpicked local singer-songwriters, each bringing their unique voice, stories, and sound to the stage. Whether you're a music lover, a fellow artist, or just looking for an inspiring night out, this is your chance to experience the soul of our city—one song at a time. Come and support the magic of live, local music. R.O Shapiro: R.O. Shapiro is a purveyor of original Americana music, carefully crafted and soulfully sung, drawing comparisons to Josh Ritter, Hiss Golden Messenger, and Bahamas. Originally from the very East End of Long Island, NY, he cut his teeth performing in the world-famous live music scene of Austin, TX, and has been perpetually on the road for the better part of a decade. R.O. is a winner of the 2022 Kerrville Folk Festival New Folk songwriting contest, a 2024 NewSong Competition finalist, and has recently toured with May Erlewine, Jeffrey Martin, and Taylor Ashton. In February 2025 he released the four-song EP, recorded in part with producer/instrumentalist Phil Cook. He is currently based in Northern California, and regularly tours solo in the US and Canada, always on the lookout for new communities and stages where he can share his authentic warmth and wit. Becky Prokova: Becky Prokova is a singer-songwriter based in British Columbia whose music blends raw emotion with radiant hope. In 2024, she released her debut album, Uncover, a body of work born from themes of rebirth, resilience, and the beauty of choosing courage over comfort. Each song carries the heartbeat of her own transformation, inviting listeners to embrace joy even in the midst of grief. With honesty and artistry, Becky creates music that feels both intimate and universal — a soundtrack for anyone standing at the edge of change. Rob Fillo: Rob Fillo is a visionary singer-songwriter and author based in Victoria, BC. With over 100 original songs spanning alt-folk, rock, blues, and country, his music combines emotional depth, lyrical storytelling, and a touch of wit. Rob is also the author of Singing with the Trees, a memoir exploring creativity, nature, and personal journey on Vancouver Island. Whether performing on stage or sharing his stories in print, Rob’s work connects audiences to the human experience with heart and authenticity.
