Singer Songwriter Showcase Session 4
Tickets
Join us on the first Thursday of every month for an unforgettable evening celebrating raw talent and original music! We’re shining the spotlight on three handpicked local singer-songwriters, each bringing their unique voice, stories, and sound to the stage. Whether you're a music lover, a fellow artist, or just looking for an inspiring night out, this is your chance to experience the soul of our city—one song at a time. Come and support the magic of live, local music. Sue Decker: Sue Decker's rich and warm voice, distinctive slide guitar playing, and authentic songwriting make for a powerful combination. Ever since learning to play guitar in a bluegrass jam at the age of thirty-five, Sue has been discovering her truth in song. These days, her music inhabits the borderlands where blues, folk, country, and soul meet. “The comparisons Decker draws with the great Lucinda Williams and Bonnie Raitt are far from misplaced...brilliant, not to be missed at any cost.”— Patrick Dallongeville ~ Paris Move Garnering critical acclaim, Sue’s most recent album Keeping Time was recorded in Nashville and produced by sought-after roots producer Steve Dawson. “Sue can write. Listen to this album. Go see her shows. This might just be the best thing I’ve heard all year. ”— Roots Music Canada Michel Rivero: Michel Rivero is a Cuban-born singer-songwriter whose music draws deeply from the rich tapestry of world sounds. With a captivating voice, a distinctive guitar style, and a fresh collection of original songs, Michel crafts compositions primarily in Spanish, infused with the vibrant pulse of Caribbean rhythms. As one half of the duo Sweet SantaFe, he released the album Santa Fe in 2017 and the EP Dichoso in 2021, showcasing his evolving artistry. His solo work blends folk, jazz, and singer-songwriter traditions with Afro-Cuban and Caribbean influences, creating a sound that’s both soulful and rhythmically infectious. Michel’s performances are more than concerts—they’re invitations to move, feel, and connect through the energy of Latin music. Glenn MacDonald: Glenn MacDonald is a multi instrumentalist who likes writing songs about seagulls and occasionally rivers. If you think about him it means he can see you through a portal granted to him by the great chuckmunga in 1306.
